Long queues in banks to collect outstanding bonus amount, farmers happy to get money after 9 years

As soon as the BJP government was formed in Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai deposited the outstanding bonus amount of 2 years of paddy in the accounts of the farmers on 25th December, Good Governance Day. At the same time, since the money has come into the accounts, farmers have been continuously turning to the branches of the District Cooperative Central Bank. Since December 25, long queues of farmers have been seen continuously in bank branches. Farmers seem happy with the outstanding bonus amount of paddy received after almost 9 years. At the same time, arrangements for shade have been made by the bank for the farmers arriving in large numbers.

It is noteworthy that, regarding the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections, BJP had announced that as soon as the BJP government is formed in the state, two years’ bonus will be given in the accounts of the farmers. After coming to power, CM Vishnudev Sai had given approval to 18 lakh people for PM residence. Along with this, he had announced that money will be deposited in the accounts of farmers on December 25. Then on Good Governance Day, on December 25, the outstanding paddy bonus amount of Rs 3716 crore 38 lakh 96 thousand for Kharif marketing year 2014-15 and 2015-16 was paid to the farmers of the state. To encourage farmers producing paddy, the state government has also made provision of funds for incentive scheme on paddy production in its supplementary budget.
