Satyapal Rajput, Raipur. A poor system has come to light in the capital’s Doorbeen Advanced Hospital, Dumartarai. The patient had reached the hospital suffering from stomach pain, where amidst the chaos, an operation on the patient’s abdomen was performed. After the operation, the patient is struggling between life and death. The big question is that there was neither an operation team nor a backup team in the hospital, then how did this operation happen. Amidst the poor system, the patient’s husband, who was scared of the operation, has requested to save his wife. In this matter, Chief District Medical Officer of Raipur, Dr. Mithlesh Chaudhary said, the matter will be investigated. He asked to send a team to the spot immediately.

Bhuvneshwar Dhivar, husband of Kesar Bai, a resident of the patient temple Hasaud, said while talking to Lalluram.com, I earn my living by working as a daily wage earner. Save my wife’s life. The wife has been treated wrongly. Doctors are now saying to get treatment elsewhere, the problem has increased. My family’s signature has been taken on a blank paper. I refuse to sign. In this matter, Dr. Kalpana, director of Doorbeen Advanced Hospital, Doomtarrai, said that a team from another hospital was called for the operation. The anesthesia doctor had come from Uttam DKS Hospital.

Dr. Kalpana told, when the patient came on the first day, she had stomach pain. When given injection it became better. The patients left after an hour. Then on the second day he arrived with stomach pain and we got sonography done. Sonography revealed that the atrium has ruptured. Looking at the immediate situation, blood test was found to be three grams of blood. After making arrangements myself, three more grams of blood was transfused and then the operation was performed. Don’t remember when the operation took place, you will have to check that everything is in the documents. He told, how could such a major operation be done without the patient’s consent. I have not done the operation. I am a gynecologist and the surgeon did the operation. Doctor Michael Kujur has performed the operation. He is from Rawatpura Hospital. Come here to see patients.

Dr. Kalpana said, there are many people in my operation team. There is a backup team. According to the condition of the patient, a doctor is called from outside. Doctor Kalpana said, the patient’s condition is not good. Maryam is suffering from anemia. Due to low albumin, water is accumulating in the stomach. It has been suggested to take the patient’s family to another hospital for further treatment. The infection has spread. The problem of jaundice is visible. Now bypass food will be given. The patient is still at 80 to 90% risk. I can’t tell anything.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Kalpana said that he has been running the hospital since 2021. The hospital is recognized. If you want to know more then get the information from the CMHO office. All permissions are given from the office. If I didn’t have the arrangements then why would I give permission? Ask the CMHO office. How can I trust you guys? Why should I tell you about my staff?

Employees should be checked for qualifications

While reporting in the hospital, Kiran Bariha, who was posing as a nursing staff there, was doing videography. Then he was asked the question from where he studied and how educated he was, and various answers were given. I have studied from Raipur, then when asked about college, she said that she has studied from other districts, then she could not answer any question.

OPD being conducted in sonography room

Dr. Kalpana, director of Doorbeen Advanced Hospital, Doomtarai, says that it is a 25-bed hospital. When the team of Lalluram.com took stock of the spot, it was found that there was no team capable of carrying out the operation. There is neither ICU nor qualified ward. OPD is being conducted in the sonography room. Five beds have been installed in one hall. The remaining two rooms were locked, which is not at all within the scope of the Nursing Home Act. The false ceiling of the hall where patients are kept after operations is leaking water from many places. A major accident can happen any time. Only by looking at the condition can one understand at what level the hospital is. The hospital management had claimed that they had 10-12 backup teams, but when we inspected the spot, we could find information about only two doctors, whose names were pasted on the wall.
