A man has been apprehended by the police in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, following the death of his wife. The fatal incident took place in Digama village, under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station. Initial reports suggest the husband, Umashankar, was under the influence of alcohol when the argument with his wife, Shila, began. The argument reportedly escalated, culminating in the husband allegedly killing his wife by strangulation with a stick. Police were notified and upon their arrival, found evidence of injury on the victim’s neck. The police have detained Umashankar, and a full investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the crime.
