A man has been arrested for the murder of his wife in the Digama village of the Gandhinagar police station area. The husband is believed to have committed the crime following an argument while intoxicated. After receiving a report of the incident, the police immediately reached the location and began their inquiry. Sources indicate that the husband, Umashankar, and his wife were embroiled in an argument on Saturday evening. The accused reportedly used a stick to strangle his wife, Shila, leading to her death. When the police reached the crime scene, they observed injury marks around the victim’s neck. The husband, Umashankar, is now in police custody, and a full investigation is underway.
