A shocking incident in Mathura has exposed the dark underbelly of superstition, where a woman seeking a child was brutally exploited by a tantric. The event, far from being a simple case of assault, is a stark illustration of the cruelty that hides behind religious pretense.
The victim, a resident of Agra, had been married for eight years and was facing difficulties in conceiving. Driven by her longing for a child, she sought help from Mustaq Ali, a tantric residing in the Naujheel area of Mathura. The woman’s trust in the tantric led to her being deceived.
Mustaq Ali, promising a child, lured the woman into a room under the guise of performing tantric rituals. Incense filled the room, causing her voice to be suppressed. The accused then committed the crime. The woman and her family faced threats of death when she resisted.
The woman, initially defeated by the superstitions, gathered courage and reported the incident to the SSP office. Consequently, the police immediately acted and charged Mustaq Ali with rape and issuing death threats.
Police are actively searching for the fugitive tantric. The event brings attention to the dangerous effects of widespread superstition.
Local anger is palpable. People are calling for stringent measures against fraudulent babas who prey on vulnerable individuals. This event is a strong reminder of the importance of eradicating superstition to prevent such tragedies from reoccurring.
