Monsoon Update: Delhi on Yellow Alert, Heavy Rains Forecasted for UP and Other Regions

The monsoon season is currently active across India, with significant rainfall affecting several areas. Delhi-NCR saw heavy rainfall on Sunday night and into Monday morning. A yellow alert was issued for Monday and has been extended for today by the weather department. Today, the capital is likely to experience thunderstorms with light to moderate rain. The weather forecast also suggests cloudy skies and moderate rainfall for tomorrow. This wet weather pattern in Delhi is anticipated to last until July 13th. Uttar Pradesh is also expected to receive heavy rainfall in specific districts, including Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Shahjahanpur, Jalaun, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur. Bihar, on the other hand, is seeing a reduction in rainfall, with a dry spell in the monsoon season. The weather department has predicted rain in some districts of Bihar. The forecast includes heavy to very heavy rainfall for Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Telangana, and Uttarakhand. The weather department also anticipates heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Karnataka, the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, and Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall is also expected in Jharkhand, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.
