Motorcyclist Dies After Being Struck by Speeding Pickup Truck in Bilaspur

A devastating accident near the Ghutku underbridge in the Koni area of Bilaspur claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Wednesday morning. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Om Prakash Kewat from Chorbhatti Khurd, was on his way to Nauroti Kapa to operate a tractor. He was riding his Splendor motorcycle, bearing registration number CG10BT0644, when the collision occurred around 6:45 AM. An unidentified pickup truck, traveling at high speed, struck his motorcycle head-on. The collision resulted in fatal head injuries, and Om Prakash died at the scene. The tractor owner, Shiv Kumar Yadav, informed the family about the tragedy. Police arrived at the scene, conducted a panchnama, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. A case has been filed against the driver of the unknown pickup truck under section 106(1)-BNS, and further investigations are underway.
