A village head in the Mungeli district of Chhattisgarh has been apprehended by the police and incarcerated for his actions against a woman. The charges include making sexual demands and engaging in harassment. The victim recounted that the accused also issued death threats when she refused his advances. The incident came to light when a woman from Jagtakapa village lodged a complaint on August 31, 2025. In her statement, the woman explained that on August 30, around 6 p.m., she was at home alone when the village head, Indal Gond, who was intoxicated, entered her residence. The accused proceeded to make inappropriate advances and requested sexual acts. Upon her objection, the accused threatened her life. Following the directive of Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel, the police swiftly acted by arresting the 55-year-old Indal Gond and placing him in jail.
