A fierce exchange of fire occurred between police forces and Naxalites in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. The joint operation, involving DRG and BSF units, was initiated after receiving information about the presence of senior Naxal figures. The encounter took place within the jurisdiction of the Koyalibeda police station. Despite the Naxals’ retreat, security personnel recovered a considerable quantity of weaponry and incriminating materials. The ongoing search operation is focused on securing the area and preventing further insurgent activity. This recent incident comes on the heels of a significant success on Monday, where security forces eliminated two Central Committee members along the Abujhmad-Maharashtra border. The deceased included Vikalp (Ramchandra), the Naxal spokesperson, and Kosa (Sudhakar Reddy).
