Raipur, January 20, 2026 / A great enthusiasm was observed among students, parents, and teachers in the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha this year as well. By the last date of registration, January 11, 2026, a total of 29.29 lakh participants from Chhattisgarh state had registered on the portal. This figure is 7.16 lakh more than the previous year, indicating growing interest in the program. Last year, Chhattisgarh ranked first in the country in terms of registration, while this year the state secured the fourth position after Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, and Lakshadweep. It is particularly noteworthy that this year 1.41 lakh parents from the state registered, which is a clear indication of increasing parental awareness towards education. First Phase Selection Process In the first phase, videos related to questions asked by students from districts were invited for student selection. A total of 171 videos were received by the deadline. The formed committee thoroughly reviewed these videos, after which 18 students were selected and their details were sent to the center. Among the selected students, 04 are from PM Shri schools, 06 from Sagey, 04 from private schools, 03 from government schools, and 01 from KGBV. Ku. Srishti Sahu’s Selection at the Central Level The central committee has selected Ku. Srishti Sahu, a 12th-grade student of the Mathematics stream from Swami Atmanand School, Nyapara, Mahasamund district. Ku. Srishti Sahu, daughter of Shri Narendra Kumar Sahu and mother Smt. Dineshri Sahu, has been invited to participate in the Pariksha Pe Charcha program organized in Delhi on January 21, 2026. Administration and School Family’s Reaction District Collector Shri Vinay Kumar Langhe met Ku. Srishti Sahu and congratulated her on her selection. The school principal, Mrs. Ami Rufus, expressed happiness over this achievement and stated that Ku. Srishti is a disciplined, hardworking, and studious student. She also mentioned that Ku. Srishti had previously taken on the role of Head Girl on Children’s Day, sitting in the principal’s chair and demonstrating leadership. Family’s Pride and Support Ku. Srishti Sahu’s father is a teacher in a government school, and her mother is a homemaker. Both expressed pride and happiness over their daughter’s selection, calling it a matter of pride for the family as well as the district. Appreciation for School and Departmental Efforts According to the school principal, all teachers of the school made special efforts to register students for Pariksha Pe Charcha. 100 percent registration was ensured in the school, and students were also regularly coached, which yielded positive results. District Education Officer Shri Vijay Kumar Lahre and the Education Department extended their hearty congratulations on the selection of Ku. Srishti Sahu. District Project Coordinator Shri Rekhraj Sharma played a significant role in completing the necessary arrangements for the student’s Delhi visit within the stipulated time. The State Project Office, Samagra Shiksha Raipur, also extended congratulations to Mahasamund district for this achievement.
