Following shortcomings in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated disciplinary measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for his negligence and lack of attention to duty. Moreover, Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has been served with a show-cause notice. In addition to these measures, instructions have been given to relocate the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat with immediate effect. The actions were taken based on the directions of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who has emphasized that negligence in government projects is unacceptable. He has cautioned all panchayat employees that stringent action will be taken against those who impede the progress of important initiatives like the PM Awas Yojana. The administration’s tough stance has caused a stir in the panchayats, and the others have been directed to execute schemes promptly and transparently.
