Following lapses in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated strict measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and dereliction of duty. Furthermore, a show cause notice has been served to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat. Orders have also been issued for the immediate transfer of the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat. These actions are a result of the directives issued by District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid, who has made it clear that any form of negligence in government schemes will not be condoned. He has cautioned all panchayat staff that stringent action will be taken against those impeding the progress of the PM Awas Yojana. The administration’s firm stance has caused a ripple effect within the panchayats, prompting directives for the timely and transparent implementation of schemes across all other panchayats.
