Following lapses in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated disciplinary measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and lack of diligence. Furthermore, a show cause notice has been served to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat. The secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has also been directed to be transferred immediately. These decisions were made under the guidance of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who made it clear that negligence in government schemes will not be accepted. All panchayat employees have been cautioned that strict action will be taken against those impeding the PM Awas Yojana. This firm approach by the administration has caused ripples in the panchayats, with other panchayats instructed to ensure timely and transparent implementation of schemes.
