The main reason for the accidents happening on the Balodabazar to Bhatapara road is the sinking of the roads, due to which the drivers are unable to control the vehicles and become victims of accidents. The main reason for the sinking of these roads are overloaded vehicles filled with sand and big vehicles carrying heavy machines to the cement plants.
Let us tell you that from January to September, 436 road accidents have taken place in Balodabazar district, in which 199 people have died and 325 people have been injured. A major reason behind these road accidents is the bad condition of the roads. In view of the increasing number of road accidents, the police has also written a letter to PWD to get the roads constructed.
In this regard, Additional Superintendent of Police Hemsagar Sidar said that in view of the continuous complaints received regarding accidents due to bad roads, a letter has been written to PWD to improve the road.
