Railway Employees to Receive 78-Day Bonus Ahead of Diwali

A major announcement has been made for railway employees nationwide, just before Diwali and Chhath Puja. The Union Cabinet, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved a 78-day Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for railway employees. More than 10.91 lakh non-gazetted railway employees are set to gain from this bonus. The government has allocated a sum of Rs 1865.68 crore for this initiative. The bonus payments will be completed before Diwali, to assist employees in celebrating the festivals. The bonus will be provided to various railway personnel, including track maintainers, loco pilots, track managers (guards), station masters, supervisors, technicians, technician helpers, pointsmen, employees of the Railway Ministry, and other Group employees.
