Railways to Run Fast MEMU Trains for Women on Teej Festival

In a move to assist female passengers during the Teej festival, the railway is introducing special train services. A fast MEMU train will operate between Raipur and Anuppur. This train will run on August 24 and August 28. Moreover, a Teej Festival MEMU train will also be in service between Raipur and Tadoqi on August 25 and August 29. The Raipur-Anuppur Teej Festival MEMU train will begin its journey from Raipur at 4:50 AM. The primary objective is to offer secure and convenient travel options to women during the festival, when a surge in passenger numbers is expected. The railway has planned these additional trains to alleviate congestion and improve the overall travel experience for passengers.
