The railway has recently modified the general ticket arrangements at Raipur Railway Station. The primary change involves the relocation of the general ticket counters, which were previously located within the main station building. These counters are being moved to the reservation center. In place of the existing counters, the railway has installed eight ATVMs and offers mobile ticketing services to facilitate the purchase of general tickets within the station complex. It’s understood that two counters will continue to operate within the station for a brief period, approximately two days, before they are also moved. Railway officials have confirmed that the railway reservation center building will now provide both reserved and unreserved ticket services. Passengers needing unreserved tickets can access them from the reservation center building. The reservation center will have a staggered operation, with four counters open in the morning, five in the evening, and three during the night.
