Raipur. An important meeting of the Municipal Corporation ended in the auditorium of Raipur Municipal Corporation Headquarters building. Necessary meetings were held regarding drinking water supply, tankers and bores in 70 wards. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, Mayor Ejaz Dhebar, Leader of Opposition Meenal Choubey, water related officers and councilors of 10 zones of Raipur district attended the meeting.

In this meeting which lasted for about 2 hours, a lot of anger was seen among the councilors regarding the water crisis. In the period of scorching heat and falling groundwater level, difficulties in providing water to the increasing population are increasing. The central government’s Amrit Mission scheme, which was launched with the aim of providing clean water to every household, seems to have failed due to the misbehavior of the councilors in this meeting.

Councilor of Kushabhau Ward, Daldal Seoni, Saddu present in the meeting said that today all the issues related to water crisis were discussed but the things were blown away and for the solution now the talk of construction of a new water tank is being put forward which will take a long time. It will take. The current situation is that about 15 thousand people of the ward are affected by water crisis. Under PM Awas Yojana, 1500 houses have been constructed. In 1500 houses, about 5-6 thousand new people came for whom water arrangements had to be made by the wards themselves. People are settled but arrangements are not made. The population exceeds the resources of the wards and in the scorching heat, not only the new people but also the existing residents of the area have to face the water crisis.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition Meenal Choubey said that the meeting is going on from 1 pm in which public representatives of 42 wards were called. 32 public representatives attended the meeting. The Leader of Opposition said that the officials of Amrit Mission are only claiming on paper that Amrit Mission is completing its work but not a single councilor, whether from the ruling party or the opposition, is satisfied with the work of Amrit Mission. Yesterday the councilors of BJP party had discussed this matter, officials should be called and discussion should be held so that the truth of the claims can be revealed. In today’s meeting, the Mayor and his team have completely failed to get rid of the water crisis. In the meeting, an ultimatum was given to the officials that the water crisis in the wards should be resolved as soon as possible.

10 day ultimatum given to officials to solve the problem

Under the Central Government scheme, Amrit Mission work has been done in 42 wards, councilors of those wards were called and a review meeting was held. The work of Amrit Mission from Zone 1 to 10 was discussed, the concerned officers related to it were also present in this meeting. Raipur Mayor Ejaz Dhebar said that work is going on at many places under the Amrit Mission Scheme and at many places the work has not been done, there are some places where the work is recorded on the files but the reality tells something else. In this meeting, the officials have been given an ultimatum to complete the work within 10 days, along with a warning has also been given that the work of Amrit Mission should be completed soon otherwise the payments of the contractors will be stopped and the concerned officials will also be punished. Action will be taken, various guidelines have also been given to the officers in the meeting to solve the problems of the common people.

How much truth is there in the claims of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner?

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra said during the discussion in the meeting that water crisis has always been a big problem in the capital Raipur, Commissioner Abinash Mishra says that the work of Amrit Jal Mission is going to end, the problems are not much, whatever There are problems and efforts are being made to fix them.

The claims of the Commissioner say something else but in reality the people are facing water crisis. On one hand it is claimed that the capital will be made tanker free, while on the other hand the tanker race continues even today in the capital Raipur.
