Raipur/Jagdalpur. Government ration shop operators of Chhattisgarh have started an indefinite strike across the state regarding their 6-point demands. Due to this, all ration shops are closed in the entire state including Bastar. Poor families are facing problems due to complete stoppage of ration distribution.

Ration distribution has been affected due to the indefinite strike. Due to closure of shops the poor are not able to get ration. If this situation continues, many families will have to struggle for food. Shopkeepers say that they are facing financial crisis. Their main demand is that the monthly honorarium should be increased. After talks with the government failed, they chose the path of strike.

These are the demands of the salesman

1. Improve the quality of electronic weighing machine.2. Solution to increasing irregularities in ration allocation.3. Timely availability of financial assistance and increase in margin money.4. Arrangement of new connectivity to improve ration storage.5. Additional remuneration for work other than ration distribution.6. Prompt payment of grant amount during Corona period, monthly honorarium should be increased.
