Scooter-Tanker Collision Claims Lives in Surajpur

Surajpur is reeling from a fatal road accident. A mother and son lost their lives following a collision between their scooter and a diesel tanker. The accident happened within the jurisdiction of the Bhatgaon police station. Urmila Nayak and her son were traveling to Matiguda on a scooter when the tanker struck them near Kapsara village on the Ambikapur-Banaras route. The young boy died instantly, and his mother was rushed to Ambikapur Medical College, where she later passed away. The woman worked as a cleaning staff member at the Jarhi Nagar Panchayat. Police have arrested the tanker driver after a chase.
