Sugam App: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Finance Minister O.P. in the Registry Department. According to the instructions of Chaudhary, many reform works are being done to provide maximum facilities to the public and benefit them. In these reforms, the registry process is being made more and more transparent, efficient and public friendly through maximum use of technology. In this context, ‘Sugam’ app has been created by the department.

Let us tell you that Sugam App is an important step towards stopping property related fraud. There are complaints that after registration, a common man becomes a victim of fraud in many ways. There is a difference between the property description given in the registry document and the condition of the spot. A property is sold to several people. The land for which registration is done does not actually exist. Such incidents also keep coming to light that land for roads, paths, gardens etc. has been sold. There are incidents of land being sold in excess of what is available at that time. Such incidents lead to increase in mutual fights and court litigations.

How will it work?

In Sugam App, during the process of registration, the party will have to take his mobile to the place where the registration is being done. You have to go to that place and open the Sugam app and take a photo of that place from three angles as directed in the app, i.e. front, right and left of the property. That photo will be automatically transferred to the registrar’s module. The geographical position of that place i.e. latitude and longitude will be recorded in the registry paper along with the photo. In this way, the coordinates of the actual geographical location of the property will be permanently recorded in the registry paper, so that the party can go to that place at any time and identify the property. Such incidents will be stopped through Sugam App.

Through Sugam App, incidents causing revenue loss to the government can also be controlled. With the Sugam app, it will be possible to know what is the actual structure of the property, due to which structures like buildings, roads, factories etc. cannot be hidden and due to this, revenue evasion to the government can be prevented. With this, after detection of such incidents, the parties will be free from the problems arising after registration. The purpose of Sugam App is to identify registered property and prevent incidents of property fraud.

More than 1200 registries so far

Since the implementation of ‘Sugam App’ on October 21, 2024, there have been more than 1200 registries in the state. The government is committed towards greater technological application and procedural improvements in registry work in the future for citizen empowerment.
