Prashant Singh, Janjgir-Champa. A major negligence has come to light in the district, where an accused escaped from police custody. The SP has suspended the police personnel responsible in this case with immediate effect.
According to the incident, the accused Karan Goswami, who was arrested under the Excise Act, was being taken to jail from Navagarh Court. During this, the accused dodged constable Somnath Kaivartya and managed to escape. The information of the accused absconding has created a stir in the police department and an intensive investigation campaign is being carried out in search of the accused. The SP has taken this matter seriously and suspended constable Somnath Kaivartya.
