Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. A couple from Jagdalpur has filed a petition in the High Court alleging that Raipur’s Pehlajani Test Tube Baby Center was used for baby swapping. While hearing the case, the court has issued notices to the doctors of the center, the state government and the Superintendent of Police and has sought a reply within 4 weeks. In fact, Usha Singh and her husband Ashok Singh, residents of Bade Bacheli in Jagdalpur, have filed a petition in the High Court. The petition states that the couple was undergoing treatment at the Pehlajani Test Tube Baby Center for two years, after which they had twins, a son and a daughter. But later two girls were kept.

When they complained about this to the hospital management, no hearing was held. When the DNA of both the girls was done, the DNA of one girl was not found. After the initial hearing of the case, the bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Agarwal issued notice to the state government, Raipur Superintendent of Police and Dr. Neeraj Pahlajani and Dr. Sameer Pahlajani of Pahlajani Test Tube Baby Center and asked them to respond within 4 weeks.
