Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, has pledged ₹75 lakh for constructing domes across five sites for the Dhurwa community. Each dome will be built at a cost of ₹15 lakh. In addition, he promised to approve the development proposals put forth by 36 Sarpanchs from the Dhurwa community aimed at improving Gram Panchayats. This commitment was made during the Nuakhai Milan ceremony and the inauguration of the ‘Olek’ social building at the forest school complex in Jagdalpur. Sai highlighted the state government’s dedication to the comprehensive progress of the tribal community. He referenced the ‘Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana’ by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, designed to prevent funding issues in tribal villages, with an allocation of ₹80,000 crore. The Prime Minister Janman Yojana was also cited, which focuses on integrating particularly backward tribes into mainstream development.
