Raipur. On the occasion of Vijayadashami, Shastra Puja was traditionally organized at Raipur Police Lines. On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh along with his family ritually worshiped the weapons. All senior police officers of the district were also present in the program.
During the puja, keeping in mind the sanctity of weapons and their importance, ceremonial firing was also done. This event is celebrated as a symbol of the victory of good over evil. On this occasion, SSP Santosh Singh extended hearty greetings to all the policemen and the general public on the occasion of Dussehra festival and expressed his commitment towards the safety and dedication of the police force.

In response to a question on the issue of shortage of weapons in the police stations, SSP Santosh Singh said that sufficient number of weapons are available in all the police stations. He greeted all the citizens of the district on the festival of Vijayadashami and said that may the festival of Vijayadashami bring happiness in your life. It is the festival of victory of truth over untruth and celebrate it in this manner and awaken Ram by killing the Ravana within you.
