Elevating Punjab’s educational horizon, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday sent off the eighth group of 30 public school principals to the Principals Academy in Singapore for intensive training. This flagship program exemplifies the government’s resolve to benchmark state education against global leaders.
At the Chandigarh farewell, Mann articulated the mission: expose principals to cutting-edge global pedagogies, thereby fortifying Punjab’s schooling apparatus. ‘Our aim transcends infrastructure—it’s about igniting dreams through quality education,’ he affirmed.
The CM also tackled political fronts, vowing to battle the Punjab Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2025 tooth and nail. He slammed the BJP central dispensation, Congress, and SAD’s Sukhbir Badal for allegedly stalling Punjab’s development.
On X, Mann enthused: ‘Thrilled to flag off yet another batch of Punjab’s principals to Singapore. Met them, showered good wishes, and spurred them on.’ He detailed the vision of consistent international upskilling for teachers to adopt modern strategies and bolster the education framework.
With 234 participants from prior batches, selections follow a transparent protocol validated by district officers. This cohort’s March 8-14 stint covers innovative teaching abroad.
Back home, principals will propagate insights, ensuring students taste world-standard education. The program is injecting vitality into reforms, with educators spearheading a brighter future for Punjab’s youth.
