Madhya Pradesh gears up for an eco-friendly Holi, thanks to innovative hampers by Aajeevika Mission Didis, dispatched via seven vehicles flagged off by CM Mohan Yadav from Bhopal. This timely launch ensures natural celebration kits reach every corner effortlessly.
Featuring 10 handcrafted treasures—pure natural hues, ghee, sweets, cow dung logs, worship materials, and T-shirts—these hampers from Ujjain, Sagar, Katni, Sehore, and Rewa Didis blend tradition with sustainability. An engaging short film brought their stories to life at the ceremony.
Complementing the hamper rollout, Yadav opened a pivotal Community Managed Training Center and addressed a self-help group empowerment workshop. ‘Didis exemplify unity’s fist turning into lakhpati success, powering economies with tractor drives, drone ops, fuel stations, cafes, and home-based industries,’ he articulated, rooting it in cultural reverence for women.
With 5 lakh SHGs empowering 65 lakh Didis—12 lakh now lakhpatis—the network amassed Rs 310 crore last year. MP’s natural farming frontier involves 50,000 Didis, backed by enhanced budgets: 26% more for women and child development, 34% for rural initiatives targeting 2026-27.
Ministers Prahlad Singh Patel (Rural Development), Gautam Tetwal (Skill Development), and Radha Singh (MoS) participated, touring stalls and chatting with producers. Yadav remotely launched strategic outlets—Aajeevika Mart Gwalior, Jabalpur Airport shops—and regional Holi events. This multifaceted endeavor heralds a brighter, empowered festive season.
