The Congress party is urging citizens to participate in its campaign by updating their social media display pictures (DPs). The campaign aims to highlight alleged electoral irregularities. The party asserts that the core of Rahul Gandhi’s struggle involves safeguarding the electoral mandate, revealing a conspiracy of vote theft attributed to the Election Commission and the BJP, and safeguarding democracy. The party has provided a link for users to obtain a DP featuring the slogans ‘Freedom from Vote Theft’ and ‘Stop Vote Theft’. In addition, the Congress has established a web portal to facilitate public registration and to encourage demands for accountability from the Election Commission regarding claims of vote theft. The initiative also supports calls for a digital voter list. Several prominent Congress leaders have already changed their DPs to demonstrate their backing for the initiative.
