Delhi faced severe disruption due to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms on Tuesday. Key areas, including Connaught Place (CP), were submerged in floodwaters, causing significant traffic congestion. CP, considered a central area, recorded over 100.2 mm of rainfall within a two-hour period. Online videos showed streets transformed into rivers, with vehicles battling through deep water. The resulting waterlogging caused major inconvenience for travelers, particularly those on motorcycles and scooters, leading to bumper-to-bumper traffic. Similar scenes were reported in other parts of Delhi, such as Kamla Nagar Market. Authorities, including the Delhi Police, issued traffic advisories and suggested alternative routes to ease the flow of traffic and assist commuters in navigating the flooded areas.
