The Supreme Court Chief Justice Bhushan Gavai’s mother has been invited to the upcoming Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) event scheduled for October 5th in Amravati. This invitation has sparked discussion, especially considering a circulating letter allegedly written by Kamalbai Gavai, which expresses opposition to the Hindu ideology. Rajendra Gavai, the younger brother of the CJI, confirmed that his mother received the invitation and plans to attend. The event marks the Vijayadashami celebration and the centenary year of the RSS. Conflicting reports have emerged, with sources suggesting that Kamalatai Gavai has declined the invitation due to her allegiance to the Ambedkarite ideology and the Indian Constitution. On the other hand, her son, Rajendra Gavai, a leader of the Republican Party, claims she will be present. He further mentioned that despite differing ideologies, his family maintains friendly relations with the RSS. He also added that he supports his mother’s decision.
