Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister, experienced the excitement of a jungle safari at Corbett National Park, highlighting his appreciation for the area’s natural beauty and biodiversity. Dhami stated that the experience was more than just a visual treat; it provided a deep connection with the region’s rich natural heritage. The Uttarakhand government’s initiatives have enhanced jungle safari tourism, drawing a large influx of tourists from across the country and beyond. This influx has stimulated the tourism-based economy and generated new employment prospects for locals. During the visit, the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign saw the planting of over 1000 trees, with participation from the Forest Department, local communities, and environmental advocates. Dhami characterized the tree-planting as a heartfelt gesture honoring motherhood and the environment. He also acknowledged the Forest Department team’s commitment to preserving the forests and wildlife, crucial for maintaining the state’s green cover and diverse ecosystems.
