A court in Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the rape and killing of a six-year-old girl. The court also mandated a fine of ₹90,500. The convicted man, Manveer, was found guilty by POCSO Court Special Judge Alka Bharti. The young girl was playing outside her residence when Manveer brought her to his room, raped her, and then killed her before escaping. The incident occurred in Mansurpur. In a separate case, a 24-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in the Civil Lines area of North Delhi. The incident involved multiple individuals, including one woman.
