A horrific road accident on the Daniyawan-Hilsa road resulted in eight fatalities on Saturday morning in the Shahjahanpur police station area of Daniyawan block, Bihar. The victims, all residents of Reddy Malama village in Nalanda district, were traveling to Triveni Sangam, Fatuha, to bathe in the Ganga River. The accident, involving an auto-rickshaw and a heavy vehicle (Hyva), occurred at approximately 6:45 AM. In addition to the fatalities, five people sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention at Patna Medical College Hospital. Emergency services, including local police, traffic officials, and ambulances, were immediately dispatched to the scene after the accident. Medical care for the injured is being closely monitored by the Civil Surgeon, who is in constant contact with the hospital superintendent. The administration has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and is working to provide comprehensive assistance to the victims and their families. Officials from the local administration, police station, and traffic police are present at the site, assisting the injured and the bereaved families. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Fatuha-1, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Patna City, and the Rural Superintendent of Police were also present, supervising rescue operations and ensuring a swift response. The Daniyawan Circle Officer has been instructed to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and all officials have been instructed to work together effectively to support the affected families. The Rural SP is overseeing the overall security at the site.
