Expressing deep sympathy for the lives lost in a devastating blast near the Red Fort metro station in Delhi, Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has conveyed the nation’s condolences. The Prime Minister shared her sentiments on social media, stating, “I am in deep sorrow to learn that many precious lives were lost in the explosion that occurred in Delhi, India.” She extended heartfelt sympathies to the victims and their families on behalf of Japan. Takaichi also offered prayers for those who sustained injuries, wishing them a speedy recovery. The incident, which resulted in 12 fatalities, has led to urgent security discussions within India. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has convened several high-level meetings to review the security landscape following the blast. In a significant development, the investigation has been transferred to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), indicating a strong likelihood of the incident being classified as a terror-related offense.
