The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, a Rs 13,000 crore project, is nearing completion, promising to drastically cut travel time between the two cities. This 210 km long expressway passes through Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. A critical aspect of the project is the 20 km stretch from Ganeshpur to Dehradun, which traverses dense forests. The expressway includes an elevated road and wildlife corridor, designed to minimize disturbance to animal movement within the Rajaji Tiger Reserve. This corridor is set to be the largest of its kind in Asia. Upon opening, the travel duration will be reduced significantly, and this will also open opportunities for tourism and businesses. The initial phases of the project have been completed, with the remaining construction slated for completion in the next few months.
