The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has announced the appointment of Justice Prathiba M Singh from the Delhi High Court as the chairperson of its Advisory Board of Judges. Serving from 2025 to 2027, Justice Singh will spearhead the board’s efforts to provide guidance and direction for WIPO’s collaboration with judiciaries. Justice Singh brings a wealth of experience, including her current role as co-chair for the World Health Organization’s (WHO) working group on Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. The newly formed board will consist of Justice Singh and nine other esteemed judges, who will collectively offer strategic advice. WIPO noted that these appointments are made in a personal capacity, ensuring independent contributions from each member. The organization lauded the commitment of judges serving on the board, recognizing their significant contribution to advancing intellectual property law and practices internationally.
