Gupta showered praise on DMRC, vowing all-out government assistance for expansions. ‘Delhi Metro is expanding flawlessly, thanks to innovations like this,’ she remarked to journalists, noting its evolution into a beacon of efficiency.
With 35 lakh daily users—rising to 65 lakh at busy points—the metro is Delhi’s transport backbone. The leader spotlighted upcoming phases, including cabinet-sanctioned 16-km corridors at Rs 12,015 crore, featuring Magenta Line growth.
Gupta combined the ribbon-cutting with greenery efforts and technical discussions. Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, minister for health, transport, and IT, was present.
