A late-night patrol in Prasad Nagar paid off handsomely for New Delhi Police, who arrested two wanted criminals poised to unleash chaos in the neighborhood. Informed by an undercover tip, the team engaged the suspects who panicked and ran upon detection, only to be captured moments later.
From the arrested Karan Ranchoiya (25) and Jatin (25), both Karol Bagh locals, police seized a stolen iPhone from Patel Nagar and the white Activa used in the robbery. Karan’s involvement in prior thefts and snatchings at multiple stations—Rajendra Nagar, Daryaganj, Sarai Rohilla—marks him as a repeat offender, with Jatin no stranger to crime either.
ASI Johrilal led the charge, supported by Constables Sandeep Bhati, Shubham, and Amit Nagar during their shift near Bapa Nagar Shiv Mandir. This takedown exemplifies strategic policing that disrupts criminal plans before they materialize.
Charges have been filed, and further inquiries aim to dismantle the network. By apprehending these men, authorities send a clear message: Delhi’s streets are under watchful eyes, fostering safer urban living for all.
