At the 20th convocation ceremony of Mizoram University in Aizawl, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan extended warm congratulations to the graduates while entrusting them with the mantle of building a ‘Developed India’ by 2047.
The campus’s idyllic surroundings drew his immediate acclaim, positioning it as an exemplar of education harmonized with nature, peace, and profound purpose.
Radhakrishnan traced the Northeast’s upward trajectory over the past decade, attributing it to Prime Minister Modi’s focused interventions. The Bairabi-Sairang rail corridor, UDAN regional connectivity, and PM-DEVINE initiatives are fueling economic momentum and empowering communities.
Central to his message was the call for youth to transcend job quests and embrace entrepreneurship. He vividly illustrated the Northeast’s opportunities in sustainable tourism, bamboo industries, organic produce, handicrafts, and digital ecosystems.
He candidly addressed the drug menace gripping young lives, advocating for clean, disciplined lifestyles and cautious navigation of technology and online spaces—becoming creators, not consumers, of digital progress.
Paying tribute to Mizoram’s natural bounty, educational prowess, cultural depth, and environmental vigilance, he saluted the university’s solar initiatives. Graduates were implored to lead the charge in fostering green sustainability.
The address culminated in a powerful charge, framing these young minds as the vanguard of India’s ascent to developed nation status.
