In a bid to inspire and motivate students, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has initiated a unique program. Meritorious toppers of high school and intermediate examinations in every district will be given the chance to serve as District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) for one day. The aim is to offer administrative insights, build confidence, and encourage students to excel. Furthermore, the government will organize “River Festivals,” public events dedicated to the conservation and rejuvenation of the state’s rivers. These festivals, named after the major rivers, will engage the public in promoting water conservation and cleanliness, emphasizing the cultural significance of these water bodies.
