Double Suicide in Patiala: Marital Discord Leads to Tragedy, Leaving Children Parentless

Patiala, Punjab witnessed a heartbreaking double suicide stemming from marital issues and a fatal misunderstanding. Gurmeet Singh ended his life on July 3rd, believing his wife, Manpreet Kaur, had abandoned him and their three children. This was tragically untrue, as Manpreet had already died by suicide, reportedly due to frequent arguments. On June 29th, she took the children to a Gurdwara after a dispute. Gurmeet’s body was found at home, while Manpreet’s was recovered from the Bhakra canal. The community is reeling from the impact of this tragedy, which has left the children orphaned. In a separate development, a young couple was discovered dead in a Jharkhand forest, prompting an investigation into the circumstances.
