Chaos erupted on IndiGo flight 6E 6571, which was en route from Delhi to Kolkata on September 1st, due to the actions of a reportedly inebriated lawyer. The passenger, who was on the plane, caused a disturbance by yelling out religious slogans, specifically “Har Har Mahadev” and “Jai Shri Ram.” The incident took place while the plane was still stationary in the parking bay. According to the airline, the passenger was intoxicated and caused trouble with the cabin crew, while also disrupting the other passengers. The individual was allegedly carrying liquor concealed in a soft drink bottle and made an inappropriate comment to a crew member. Sources indicate that while the passenger denied carrying alcohol in the bottle, they did acknowledge having consumed alcohol before the flight. During interactions with the crew, the passenger requested that a crew member also chant a religious slogan.
