The IMD predicts intense rainfall in East, Central, West, South Peninsular, and Northeast India. A new western disturbance is anticipated in Northwest India from October 5 to 7, with peak intensity on October 6. The southwest monsoon continues to recede, with the withdrawal line extending through Veraval, Bharuch, Ujjain, Jhansi, and Shahjahanpur. Several districts can expect extremely heavy showers, lightning, and strong winds. The forecast details regional variations in the intensity and duration of the rainfall.
