In a harrowing incident, doctors in Faridabad, Haryana, saved two young siblings after they swallowed toy magnets. The children, a three-year-old boy and his four-year-old sister, required major surgeries due to the internal damage caused by the magnets. The boy experienced severe abdominal pain and vomiting, leading to the discovery of ten magnets lodged in his intestines. His sister exhibited similar symptoms the following day, with six magnets causing perforations in her stomach. The medical team emphasized the dangers of magnetic toys, highlighting how multiple magnets can cause significant tissue damage. After extensive care, the children have recovered and been released from the hospital. Experts advise parents to be vigilant about toys with small, detachable parts.
