Etah Woman, Sister of BJP MP, Brutally Attacked by In-Laws After Privacy Violation

A shocking incident in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, involves Reena Rajput, sister of BJP MP Mukesh Rajput, who was allegedly subjected to violence by her in-laws. The assault was triggered by her objection to being secretly filmed while bathing. A viral video purportedly shows her father-in-law publicly beating her with sticks. Reena reported that her in-laws regularly harassed her and attempted to drive her out of the house. According to her account, they filmed her while she was bathing, and when she confronted them, she was beaten with sticks and canes, with her daughter also being targeted. The complaint highlights the public nature of the assault, and the lack of intervention from bystanders. A case has been filed by the police following the dissemination of the video online, based on the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
