In a shocking incident, a construction pillar for Mumbai’s Metro in Mulund gave way, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The accident has drawn fierce condemnation from Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Anand Dubey, who accuses the establishment of deadly negligence in development projects.
Condoling the tragedy, Dubey questioned the rot at the core: ‘Progress via death traps? Build Mumbai’s infrastructure by all means—roads, overbridges, rail—but with integrity, sans graft. Track down that contractor; no escaping liability through sleight of hand. The regime must be held to account.’
He analogized to the polarizing cricket clash with Pakistan: ‘They boycott for show, play for profit—like BJP’s yielding. Are we passive onlookers? BCCI’s Jay Shah and ICC—step up! We shun matches with those who terrorize our families. No dealings with such a rogue nation.’
Optimistic about India, Dubey sneered: ‘Victory’s assured; Pakistan seeks only financial windfalls. Post-loss payouts for their board? Pathetic. Gully games are their level.’
As scrutiny intensifies on the site, Dubey’s broadside reflects simmering discontent over worker safety and questionable foreign engagements. It serves as a clarion call for stringent measures, robust enforcement, and a recommitment to lives over landmarks in India’s growth story.
