In Kanpur, a father took a stand to protest the perilous road conditions after his daughter was injured by a pothole. The incident, which occurred near Ram Gopal Chowk, underscored the poor infrastructure in the Barra 8 area. The father, seeking to draw attention to the issue, lay down in the muddy water of the pothole, equipped with a mat and pillow. This act of protest created a stir, halting traffic and drawing onlookers. The father stated that the protest was a response to the persistent danger faced by children and the inaction of authorities in addressing the road’s disrepair. The protestors voiced their frustration with the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” Locals joined the protest, citing repeated pleas to officials for road repairs without any resolution. The dangerous road, which connects Barra and Gujaini, has been a source of accidents, with one incident from last year causing injury to an elderly man.
