Significant progress has been made on the Ganga Expressway, with 89% of the project completed, according to the UPEIDA. The expressway, which will be fully access-controlled, starts in Meerut and concludes in Prayagraj. The six-lane expressway, expandable to eight lanes, will span 594 kilometers and is estimated to cost over Rs. 36,200 crore. Upon completion, the expressway will be the longest in Uttar Pradesh, traversing through 12 key districts: Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, RaeBareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj. The project includes an airstrip in Shahjahanpur for emergency aircraft landings and an industrial corridor to spur economic growth.
