Uttar Pradesh’s political heart in Lucknow hosted a cultural milestone as ‘Godaan’ filmmakers, focused on cow conservation, met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of the February 6 rollout. Spearheaded by Vinod Chaudhary, the group displayed an oversized poster while elucidating the film’s profound themes.
Celebrating bovine sanctity in Bharat’s ethos—where cows symbolize godhood and nurturance—’Godaan’ invokes Gita wisdom from Lord Krishna on dharma preservation and goru raksha. It dovetails with Yogi’s tenure, featuring bans on illicit butcheries that bolstered animal welfare.
The visit amplifies the movie’s pre-launch hype, with team members immersing the CM in its vision.
Poster drop ignited frenzy; premiere united tinsel town and holy figures, propelling chatter nationwide. Notably, it pioneers a song-form Gau Mata aarti by Ananya Singh. ‘Delighted to lend voice to two pieces: the trailblazing cow aarti chant and a Radha-Krishna devotional. As a Sanatan Dharma production, it implores youth to embrace its Hindu spirit and protection pledge,’ she noted.
Producers Vinod Kumar Chaudhary and Dr. Parul Chaudhary, alongside co-producer Chetan Goswami and director Amit Prajapati, craft a moving saga of devotion between a calf and hero, enacted by Sahil Anand (‘Student of the Year’ franchise, ‘Babloo Happy Hai’). ‘Godaan’ emerges as a beacon for cultural revival.
