Godman Arrested in Agra: Investigation Reveals Alleged Sexual Exploitation and Dubai Sheikh Connection

Chaitanyananda Saraswati, accused of sexually exploiting female students, was apprehended by Delhi police in Agra. The 52-year-old, who ran the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management, was arrested on Sunday at a hotel in the Taj Ganj area. He had been in hiding for nearly two months, moving between Vrindavan, Mathura, and Agra, using small hotels and taxis to evade capture. During his stay in Agra, he registered under a false name. The arrest stems from allegations of sexual harassment involving at least 17 female students. Police have seized an iPad and three mobile phones, one of which reportedly had remote access to the institute’s CCTV cameras and hostel premises. Disturbing WhatsApp conversations have emerged where Saraswati allegedly sought to procure a ‘sex partner’ for a ‘Dubai Sheikh,’ as revealed in communications with a student. The investigation is ongoing, with Saraswati now in police custody for five days, and is likely to be confronted with his female aides who are suspected of helping him.
